General Information on conversion to Alumni Email

Information Technology Services provides e-mail services for Graduates of Geneva College. The Geneva College Computer Account Policy specifies that:

  • "All graduated Students email accounts will be converted to an Alumni account and they can continue to use their Office 365 email account per the Geneva License Agreement with Microsoft."
  • All graduating students can access their Student Information via the myGeneva Portal.
  1. Students are currently able to retain their email account after graduating from Geneva College.
  2. Students should watch for email communications from the Information Technology Services Department, immediately following winter and spring commencement, informing them that their email account will be converted to an Alumni account 90 days after their degree conferred date.
  3. Students will lose access to the Office Suite, and Office Web Apps at time of conversion.
    1. Our agreement with Microsoft requires that we remove the licenses for the Office Suite, and Office Web Apps at time of conversion.
    2. Access to College computers will be disabled.
    3. Access to your network drives and files will be disabled. You should backup your files to a personal device.
    4. Access to your e-Learning files or assignments will be disabled. You should backup your files to a personal device.

Alumni Office365 Account Information

  1. Students will be required to subscribe to the Office 365 password reset tool on first login to the converted Alumni account.
  2. If you have forgotten your Office365 password, contact the Information Technology Services helpdesk at or 724-847-6789 for a temporary password.  You will be required to change the password on first login to the converted Alumni account.
  3. To log in to your GC Alumni Office365 email account:
    • Point your web browser to or (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple Safari recommended).
    • Enter Your username (i.e. and current Office365 password into the Office 365 login page.
    • After logging on you may be prompted to select a new Office365 account password of your choice.
    • To change your password (while logged in to your mailbox): click on the gear icon in the upper right corner, click on Options, and then on the right side, click on "Change your password".

myGeneva Alumni Account

  1. Please note that separately, outside of Office365, you have an myGeneva Alumni Account when you need to order transcripts, pay bills, and other similar activities. Please note these are completely separate alumni accounts available to you and do not share the same password.
  2. From any browser, go to the myGeneva portal by entering Login is in the upper-right-hand corner:
    1. Log in with your Username and your password.  You may be prompted to create and verify a new password.
    2. You may also be prompted to sign up for the Forgot My Password service. Provide an alternate, non-Geneva email address so that you can use the Password Self-Service feature in the event that you forget your password.
    3. Once you are logged in, it will say Welcome back “Your Name” in the upper right-hand corner.


These instructions will help you sign into your Alumni email, and sign-up for Password Reset Self Service for your email account.
